Thank You Dr. Nath

Dear Dr. Nath,

I've had the best week I've had in almost 2 1/2 years! I'm teaching a full schedule, SINGING again (booked into May,2005!) and even socializing and walking some again. Best of all, I can manage this activity with very little pain medication. I'm using a TENS unit several hours daily as you suggested and it really helps, whereas before my surgery, electrical stimulation provoked pain.

This has been quite an odyssey for me, but the ultimate turning point--I know-- was the nerve decompression surgery. You have returned my quality of life to me and I am deeply indebted .....and you really SHOULD see my scar! (It's hardly there).

"I called Dr. Nath's office on a Friday, and a week later, I was in surgery for my injury. Two days later, I was able to lift my arm up fully over my shoulder for the first time since last December, and ten days later I resumed training for the Olympic trials, which are in April," Botes said.

In gratitude,

>KG
